Brand Satisfaction Guaranteed

The quality assurance department of Reinhart FoodService (RFS) is responsible for maintaining the consistency and quality of the products inventoried with special attention given to our exclusive national brand products. From canned goods to gourmet offerings to detergents, our exclusive national brand products are produced and packed to our specifications by leaders in their product category.

Product Cuttings

Comparison cuttings are conducted in our corporate test kitchen to approve new products. Products received in RFS divisions are sampled to confirm they meet specifications. New products under consideration are compared to similar products in the market and against our competition. Blind cuttings by experts in their field ensure fair consideration is given to all involved.

Product Concerns

Issues and concerns are taken seriously by Reinhart FoodService. Whether it is a product-related customer insurance claim, food safety issue, or product quality concern, Reinhart expedites a prompt resolution to the concern.
 

 

Food Safety and Food Defense

Reinhart FoodService is committed to providing safe, wholesome and lawful products to its customers. HACCP, recalls, security, product guarantees, disaster protocol, shelf life issues and MSDS have all been addressed by RFS.

Vendor Standards

Reinhart FoodService is pro-active in obtaining vendor assurances of quality and commitment to food safety standards. Vendors are not activated in the RFS system until indemnification and HACCP documentation has been received. Files are maintained to track small business and diverse vendors. Facilities are toured to ensure food safety, sanitation, and security measures are followed.

Corporate Product Standards

Product information is key to making informed decisions. Reinhart maintains a database of information such as Kosher, Halal, net and gross weight, child nutrition labeling, shelf life, ideal storage temperature, UPC/SCC, how to decipher pack codes, and a myriad of pertinent information. Additional information such as ingredient and nutritional statements for over 4,000 products are available at the touch of a computer key through our TRACS Product Profile

Dented Can Downloads
Dented Cans Poster

The "Classification of Visible Can Defects Poster" is a great way to help personnel learn how to quickly identify defects and the degree of acceptable damage in regards to dented cans. This 24" x 36" poster consists of colorful pictures and easy to follow descriptions that illustrate the amount of damage on a can. This poster is published and available for purchase through AOAC for $29 a poster, $125 for a package of 10. Customers can order through AOAC's website at http://www.aoac.org. Sample Dented Can Policy

Reinhart FoodService is aware of how difficult it can be to determine the acceptability of dented cans. With this in mind, Reinhart has developed a sample dented can policy that customers can customize to develop their own dented can policy.
